Our Safety Philosophy
Arcade Everywhere experiences are designed to be inclusive, non-contact, and accessible to participants of all ages and abilities. Safety is never negotiated. Our Game Guides are trained to maintain a safe, respectful environment from the moment we arrive until the moment we leave.
Game Guide Authority
AE Game Guides have full authority to:
- Enforce safety guidelines at any point during the event
- Modify game mechanics or station configurations if a safety concern arises
- Pause or halt any activity that presents a risk of injury or disrupts the experience for other participants
- Remove a participant from a specific game station without explanation if their safety or others' safety is at risk
- Request the removal of a participant from the event area entirely if their behavior is dangerous, harassing, or seriously disruptive
⚠️ No refund will be issued for participant removal resulting from safety concerns or conduct violations. This applies regardless of whether the participant was a guest, employee, or student.
Client Responsibility for Guest Conduct
The booking client is responsible for the conduct of all guests attending the event. This includes:
- Informing guests in advance of basic behavioral expectations
- Supporting AE's safety decisions on-site without undermining Game Guide authority
- Ensuring that any guest with known behavioral concerns is appropriately supervised
- Maintaining adequate adult-to-minor ratios independent of AE staffing for youth-heavy events
AE Game Guides are not behavioral managers or security personnel. They are trained facilitators. If a situation escalates beyond facilitation, it is the client's responsibility to manage their guests.
Activity Design Safety Standards
Every game in AE's catalog is designed around these non-negotiable principles:
- Non-contact by design — no game requires or encourages physical contact between participants
- Safe failure — participants can fail any game station without physical danger or public humiliation
- No elimination — no participant is removed from the group due to in-game performance
- No humiliation mechanics — no spotlight failures, forced demonstrations, or comparison-based scoring that demeans participants
- Equipment inspection — all game stations are inspected before and after every event
- Energy management — Game Guides actively manage participant energy levels to prevent overcrowding or overexertion
Prohibited Behaviors
The following behaviors by any participant — guest, employee, or student — may result in immediate removal from activities:
- Physical aggression or contact toward other participants or AE staff
- Deliberate damage or rough handling of AE equipment
- Harassment, intimidation, or discriminatory language directed at any person
- Ignoring repeated safety instructions from a Game Guide
- Behavior that creates a genuine risk of injury to themselves or others
